Meet Keycha

Keycha Gallon is a dedicated community leader, advocate, and Executive Director for Keyz 2 The Future, an organization empowering youth and families affected by trauma and gun violence.

With a strong background in community service, Keycha has brought Richmond its first Gun Violence Awareness Summit, mentors youth, has raised awareness for cancer and domestic violence, provided critical resources to the community, especially during COVID-19, and served as Treasurer for Motivated 2 Help Others for five years. She also sits on the boards of the Commission for CalVIP and the Richmond Participatory Budgeting Commission, demonstrating her commitment to addressing violence prevention and community priorities at a systemic level.

Keycha holds an Associate of Arts in Sociology, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, and an MBA in Project Management, combining academic expertise with hands-on leadership. She is a Licensed Pharmacy Technician and has served as a shop steward for over 15 years for Local 29, advocating for workers and the community.

Her civic engagement extends to Moms Demand Action, the Ronnie Bubba Robinson Scholarship Foundation, Cobiz Richmond, and Chamberlain, reflecting her ongoing dedication to equity, transparency, and community empowerment. In recognition of her leadership, Keycha received the Congressional Woman of the Year Award in 2024.

Keycha is running for office to bring results-driven, community-centered leadership to Richmond—focusing on public safety, economic opportunity, equity, and empowering residents to thrive.
